Returns Policy

You may return any item in original condition that has not been opened (taken out of the original manufacturer's plastic wrap) for a refund if it is returned to us within 30 days of delivery. Upon receiving it back, we'll provide you with a refund for the item price through the payment method you selected when placing your order. However, if the payment method of your order is either International Postal Money Order or Cash, we'll credit your Cool Japan Now customer account with Frequent Shopper Points.

In case of our error or manufacturer defects, we will provide you with a full refund, and also reimburse you for the return postage by crediting your Cool Japan Now account with points.

Before returning any item, please make sure to contact our Returns Department to receive an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.

• Defective Items
  In case there is a manufacturer's defect, we are able to provide either a full refund or a replacement if the item is returned to us, since our normal procedure is to return it to the distributor. Before returning it, please make sure to contact our Returns Department to receive an RMA number, and also let us know as much details of the condition as possible, such as the exact time on the disc where you encounter the condition. Please note that if the item is no longer obtainable, we are not able to provide a replacement.
• DVD Regional Encoding and Language
  In Japan, where Cool Japan Now is located, DVDs are region-2 encoded (Japan, Europe, Middle East, and South Africa) , almost without any exception. You need to have a DVD player capable of playing region-2 discs to be able to view region-2 DVDs. No alternate version exists for any DVD. On the other hand, although there are only a very few such titles, there are DVDs that are region-ALL encoded. They can be played on any DVD player. If a DVD is region-ALL encoded, then you will find this indication in the Editions Details. If you do not see this indication, then it is region-2 encoded.
  
  As for the audio tracks and subtitles, only the language(s) indicated in the Editions Details is available. For example, if a DVD has English subtitles, then "Subtitles: English" is indicated in the Editions Details. If not, then the DVD does not have any subtitles in English. Similarly, the audio track is available only in the language listed.
• Apparels
  You may return unworn and unwashed apparels and other items available in Japanese Fashion Brands sections of our website if you'd contact our our Returns Department for an RMA number within one week of receiving them. Items with tags removed, items that are worn, and single item sold as a part of a set cannot be returned. In case you're returning a part a set, please make sure to return the entire set. If you receive any bonus item, please return it along with the items you're returning.

Similarly, while availabilities are updated everyday, unexpected delays and shortages may occur. Also in some cases, shipping charge may be subject to an update at the time of shipping, when actual order weight becomes available, and it will be reflected on the charge for the order.
