Shobuen History
About Shobuen
Shobuen started business in the tea-processing industry in 1924 and established a tea garden and tea factory in Shizuoka Prefecture.
Since their inception, they have strictly followed their company policy to "Jien-jisei" -- meaning to cultivate the tea leaves by ourselves in their own tea gardens and to process them in their own factory without buying tea leaves from other tea farms.

About Shobuen
They carry out the whole process with their own hands from maintainance of the tea gardens, tea picking, manufacturing, and packaging.
Also all products go through a quality test inspected by Japanese green tea instructor license holders. They create their tea with great pride enjoying a favorable reputation for many years.

About Shobuen
Their teas are also placed highly in multiple tea contests, receiving awards every year.
They take great care in their product's safetiness and cleanliness. In 2009 they received approval from T-GAP (Tea - Good Agricultural Practice) -- an original system of Shizuoka tea which show in details how to conduct GAP while evaluating and approving the manufacturers work.
