Koyudo has started selling makeup brushes since 2005. The brushes are made with traditional technique used in making Japanese calligraphy brushes. Makeup brushes are requested for its tips narrow in order not to hurt skin. In this aspect, their makeup brushes are so dense that the touch is soft and smooth. They make new products by applying unique techniques from tradition to make calligraphy brushes, and that's why they can make high quality makeup brushes different from others. The brushes are made by hands of artisans in the Kumano area and never made by machines.

Produces Rich & Creamy Lather
Washing your face with fine rich lather is very important. Heart-shaped brush and its fine hair ends are best for making fine lather. The brush takes in air from the dented part of the heart which is why it can create tiny fine bubbles.
Wash Properly but Gently
his heart-shaped brush fits into the contours of your face, making it easy to clean in the lines around the nose. This brush is made from both goat hair and PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), but only the goat hair touches the skin. Now this is Koyudo's craftsmanship. Lather is one of the most important things when you wash your face. The fine and elastic lather has an important role which sucks up the dirt of skin. However, it's difficult to extract the sebum and the make-up which stuck to the inside of pores completely. Since this brush has a goat hair made of natural material, you can wash your face gently with hair ends moderate elasticity to your pore so that your skin may not be hurt. Additionally, this brush can make a nice, creamy lather. |

You will need Koyudo's Heart Facial Cleansing Blush, a sink or basin, warm water, and a cleansing foam or soap you usual use.
First of all, wet your face with warm water to open up your pores. Wet the cleansing brush.
Put a proper amount of facial cleanser and little amount of warm water on your hands. In you are using solid soap, directly place the brush on soap.
At first, just let the cleanser blend in with the warm water. Then work it into a lather by moving in circles. If the lather seems hard, add some water from time to time. You can make it rich and creamy by these steps.
Gently stroke your face with the brush. The thick lather will removes blackheads and dead skin cells from your pores. The brush soaked with lather is extremely soft and will gently wash around the sensitive areas around your eyes and nose.
The heavenly-touch of the brush will make you releax. Lastly, wash all the lather off with warm water. Make sure not to rub your skin during this process.

In order to let Koyudo brushes stay in good condition for a long time,
you will need to know the proper care. After using the brush, gently wash with
your hands using clean warm water, thoroughly rinsing off the soap. Then press the hair of the brush against a dry towel. If you roughly squeeze water our from the brush, it will loose its hair. Lastly, hang-dry under breezy shade. Let it completely dry out for 2-3 days once in a while and you will be able to use the brush from 6-months up to a year.
